HOWARD'S MOUNTAIN LODGE, National Park

Howard's Lodge provides accommodations ranging from standard rooms with shared bathrooms to deluxe rooms with private bathroom facilities and self-contained rooms. The Ruapehu Wing Family House sleeps up to 10 and includes a lounge, kitchen, and garden. En-suite Family rooms accommodate between 2 and 5 people. Rooms include heating, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, dressing area, a dining table, a patio and garden furniture. Also provided are free toiletries, cookware, kitchen utensils and an electric kettle.

Howards Lodge provides packed lunches. Guests have access to shared kitchens. The fully equipped kitchens include all crockery and cutlery, kettles, microwaves, ovens, food storage bins and a refrigerator.

Howards Mountain Lodge is located in National Park in the Manawatu Region. It is less than 15 km from Mount Ruapehu and 95 km from Taupo. National Park Village is at the intersection of State Highway No. 4 and State Highway No. 47. Daily transport to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing is available, and shuttles can be booked upon arrival. Nearby landmarks include Mt Ruapehu (0.5 km), Uenuku Pines Mountain Bike Park (5 km), and Tupapakurua Falls Lookout (0.5 km).

Howard's Lodge supplies everything for guest comfort. Rental of ski equipment, tramping boots, walking poles, and mountain bikes are available. Howards Lodge provides ski boots and other ski equipment. Guests arriving outside reception opening hours should inform the hotel in advance.
